Shin Cup, on the road to becoming a beacon for ramyun lovers worldwide

‘Creating a well-rounded experience one memory at a time’ may have once been something hearkened to a commercial or chime for an amusement park, but if Nongshim America has anything to say about it, this idea is key for the food giants of the future. In recent steps towards creating a more holistic eating experience, the ramyun powerhouse has taken it upon itself to not only appease the stomach and amuse the eyes, but to give partakers an opportunity to interact with their beloved noodles.

After a successful run at the Pretend City Children’s Museum of Orange County, which gave kids and their parents an opportunity to create and customize their make-believe ramyun, Nongshim America went ahead with their plans for a large-scale Shin Ramyun experience installation. In partnership with the San Diego Padres, a 10 foot Shin Cup model was enacted near the stands of the baseball field at Petco Park in San Diego. This gigantic Shin Cup is equipped with a flat photo-ready backdrop, making it ideal for Padres fans who are also lovers of Shin Ramyun to take photos with their favorite ramyun cup. The icing on the cake is that they can do so at the home of their favorite baseball team and can keepsake their memories with other fans using #nongshiminsd. This iconic photo opportunity can be enjoyed year-round during games or other events when the baseball stadium is open. However, if fans want the full experience, they should come on the below sampling dates to take photos of themselves eating the iconic ramyun with the namesake as their backdrop.

Nongshim America will have special sampling promotions at Park at the Park at Petco Park during the following game dates:

Saturday, May 12: St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Diego Padres
Saturday, August 11: Philadelphia Phillies vs. San Diego Padres
Saturday, September 15: Texas Rangers vs. San Diego Padres
Saturday, September 29: Arizona D-Backs vs. San Diego Padres

Since baseball is often viewed as a family-friendly sport with the wholesome idea of togetherness, it is no wonder that Nongshim America would pick this setting as their first of hopefully many photo op locations. However, those that live far from Petco Park shouldn’t fret for fear of missing out. A recent collaboration with Jungle Jim’s International Market in Cincinnati also places the iconic Shin Cup in the pilot seat of a spacecraft hovering over the the noodle aisle. The bright flashing lights do make it an eye-catching installation that is sure to garner attention. With these various installations and other projects sure to be in the works, the future direction of Nongshim America seems to be gaining traction towards greater visibility in America as a food manufacturer that whets the appetite and engages all 5 senses. Nongshim America continues to strive to create engaging and delicious moments as they continue their efforts to get closer to the population in a visible and actively creative way. May they continue winning the hearts of new and old ramyun lovers in America and around the world.
